'Live Windows' are Coming to Hinckley Town Centre

Saturday 15th March from 9:30am to 11:30am

Get ready for an exciting cultural experience as we present our first ever 'Live Windows' showcase! FREE to attend, you will be entertained by this unique event as shop windows throughout Hinckley town centre are transformed into vibrant stages, showcasing a variety of live performances. Visitors will be treated to a delightful array of talent as artists bring the streets of Hinckley to life - from music to acting and everything in between, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Attendees are encouraged to pick up a free map from the Britannia Shopping Cente on the day, which will guide them through the town, highlighting the various performance locations. Please join us for a morning of creativity and community spirit in the heart of Hinckley. Don’t miss this opportunity to support local talent and experience the charm of our town in a whole new light! Huge thanks to the students and teachers at NWSLC’s Hinckley campus and Grays Drama Academy for their support. Maps will be available on the day to collect from the Britannia Shopping Centre and also available to download from our website.

Beginnings - An Exhibition of the work of Sally Zelenczuk
|
Saturday 8th February to Saturday 29th March at Ten2 Gallery & Art Cafe, 102 Castle Street.

Sally Zelenczuk, was an talented artist who departed this world far to soon. As part of her family's in-memorium fundraising efforts, they have arranged an exhibition of Sally's art at Ten22 Gallery and Art Café, in aid of Adrenocorical Cancer Support UK. If you would like to attend either the private viewing on the 7th February, or the wider exhibition from 8th February to 29th March, you would be very welcome.

Listen While You Lunch - Medical Detection Dogs

Friday 14th March, 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Hinckley Library, Lancaster Road.

Come along to hear about these amazing dogs, trained to detect illnesses such as cancer, Parkinson's disease, malaria and even Covid-19, using their incredible sense of smell. They are revolutionising the way diseases are diagnosed, leading to quicker, less invasive, and more cost-effective treatment. The event is limited to 20 tickets so please book early to avoid disappointment. Price: £3 for library members or £4.50 for non-library members. The ticket price includes tea/coffee, and you are welcome to bring your lunch along with you. Joining the library is quick and FREE, so it's a great opportunity to become a member and enjoy all the benefits. Tickets are available now from the library, but pre-booking is essential. You can visit the library during staffed hours or call 0116 305 2500 to secure your spot.
