40th Anniversary for Ye Olde Socke Shoppe
|
Wishing our local retailer, Kate Currie, huge congratulations on the 40th anniversary of trading from her lovely shop on Castle Street. Whether you need nightwear, undergarments or socks, you are likely to find something to suit here, and always service with a smile.
Kate believes she may be the 'oldest' trader on Castle Street, but you'll have to let us know if you believe otherwise! There's no doubt she is incredibly young at heart and we look forward to seeing her trading for many years to come at 67 Castle Street!
Well done Kate! You've done a great job of keeping Hinckley residents snug and warm through the seasons.

The Cartridge House changes hands
|
The Cartridge House is a familiar and well established office supplies retailer on Church Walk. Whether you need office equipment, printers, paper, ink or rolls for a cash register, you will find them here. Many are available off the shelf, but if it is something a little more specialist, then next day delivery is generally achievable.
In recent weeks the business has changed hands and is now under new management with Scott Baker at the helm. The same excellent level of service will continue and we understand new ranges will be added in the coming months.
We wish Scott every success and can certainly recommend The Cartridge House for all your stationery needs.

BHHC Fundraising Appeal

Supporting Veterans with Hearing Loss
|
BHHC is a Hinckley based private healthcare company. It has established a charity, 'UK Veterans Hearing Foundation' to help support veterans who experience hearing loss (Charity Number: 1188611).
A staggering statistic reveals, they say, that veterans are 3.5 times more likely to experience hearing issues compared to those who haven’t served. This struggle affects approximately 300,000 ex-service people in the UK, impacting their communication, social life, and overall wellbeing.
The UK Veterans Hearing Foundation (UKVHF) is the only charity in the UK dedicated exclusively to addressing hearing loss for former members of the Armed Forces. Their efforts have already transformed the lives of over 80 veterans and counting, but the demand for their support continues to grow. The pandemic and other factors have resulted in a significant backlog of veterans in need of timely assistance.
The foundation has launched innovative initiatives to enable contributions from individuals and organisations alike. Donations can be made through their website, but they have also established an online shop for second-hand clothes, with 100% of profits directly supporting veterans. Additionally, people can donate clothes and hearing aids, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served.
If this is a cause close to your heart and you would like to make a donation, please follow the link below.
