JOBS Special Edition

For those considering a career change or searching for new job opportunities, make sure to drop by The Atkins Building tomorrow, Thursday, 18th August between 11.00am and 2.00pm for a recruitment event organised by JobCentre Plus and the Department for Work & Pensions.

Our friends at JCP tell us that they have seen some real successes from earlier events:
1st Event: 168 customers, 46 job applications completed, 29 job interviews booked, 24 customers signed on with a training provider and 5 job starts.

2nd Event: 121 customers, 25 job applications completed, 21 job interviews booked, 28 customers signed on with a training provider, 6 job offers and 4 job starts to date…

This event is for everyone! It is perfect for those who are currently unemployed, but also for people seeking a change of career or maybe looking for some extra help and training to get one step closer to work!

There will be opportunities to speak with employers, training providers and career advisers.

Hinckley BID's 11th Annual Motorshow

Time is running out to register!

Entries are pouring in daily, so if you would like to exhibit your vehicle and haven't yet registered, now is the time!

This is a hugely popular event on our annual calendar which draws crowds of thousands to the town. We welcome vintage and classic vehicles of all shapes and sizes, as well as vehicles of special interest.

To enter, please complete your registration online as soon as possible (places will be limited and over 400 have already confirmed).

This is truly a great family day out with entertainment for the children and live music laid on. Best of all, the event is entirely FREE, both to enter and to spectate.

New Escape Room in Hinckley - The Devil's Den!

If you like a challenge and are not spooked by the paranormal, then you are bound to enjoy this new and exciting Escape Room in Hinckley!

"Set in one of the most haunted buildings in the UK. Perfect for a fun night out, celebration, even team building. The Devil's Den is an escape room with a difference. Not only do the contestants have to solve a series of clues, but they also have the fear of being in a very haunted room so they may not be alone.

Teams of up to six will have sixty minutes to escape the clutches of the Grand Master. Dates and times for August and September are on the website: www.hauntedresearchcentre.com. The cost is £15 per person. Some of the comments received so far are very encouraging...

Farewell Summer - Hello Ten2 Autumn Classes

A new term will begin soon for Autumn at the Art Studio and Ten2 Gallery. There are lots of new classes to get those creative juices flowing.

If you respond quickly, you will even have the opportunity to make suggestions for a class you might like to see that isn't presently listed.
