Only three days left to complete the FREE Halloween themed Treasure Hunt we have created around the town centre for some half term fun!
Just follow the clues to find the Halloween characters hidden in mysterious places. This family friendly trail will keep the little ones entertained and take you along streets and to quaint courtyards in the town centre that offer great shopping opportunities.
Best of all, correct entries submitted will be included in our prize draw for £600 worth of prizes. There will be 12 lucky winners drawn at random and each will receive a £50 gift voucher for a town centre BID member business of their choice.

Festive Family Fun Run - Save the Date!

Once again we will be joining forces with HBBC to host our annual Festive Family Fun Run in the town centre.
We invite everyone to come along in Christmas hats, fancy dress or a Christmas jumper! There will be prizes for the best costumes and a medal for everyone who completes the short course (less than a mile which can be walked, run or strolled). Well behaved four legged friends (on leads) are welcome to take part too.

A chance to have your say on local issues

We are pleased to share the Autumn edition of the Blaby and Hinckley & Bosworth Community Partnership newsletter. It highlights some of the essential and sometimes challenging work they carry out to help keep us safe day to day.
If you would like to contribute your views on crime and antisocial behaviour in your area, then please click on the link below to complete their survey (deadline 28th October 2022).
Another aspect of their work relates to domestic abuse. Sadly, for some individuals in our community, the threat of domestic abuse is a daily reality. If you have concerns for a friend or family member, please share information about the support that is available via Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council’s Domestic Abuse Outreach Service. British Empire Medal awarded to Local Businesswoman
|
Well known Hinckley businesswoman Rosemary Wright was recognised in the New Years Honours List and has recently received the British Empire Medal in recognition of her work supporting local people, groups and businesses in Hinckley and Leicestershire. Rosemary, a leading international shoe design consultant for more than 50 years, is the creator of a great many patents for a number of famous brands including Doc Martens , Skechers USA and Columbia Footwear USA . She has been involved in many high profile patent and design cases worldwide as an Expert Witness over many years, including appearing in the Royal Courts of Justice London.
Rosemary has served the community in a multitude of roles, including as a Borough Councillor and Executive Member on Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Director and Vice Chair of Hinckley Town Centre Partnership BID (Business Improvement District), President of Hinckley and District Chamber of Trade for several years, Chair of Trustees of John Cleveland College Foundation Trust, Chair of Bosworth Conservative Association, Chair of Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Conservative Area Management Executive, and most recently, President of Hinckley Leicester Road Football Club.
Rosemary was presented with her BEM award at Beaumanor Hall , Woodhouse Eaves, Loughborough on Monday, 5th September by Her Majesties Lord Lieutenant for Leicestershire Mike Kapur OBE. She was accompanied by her husband, Brian Wright, daughter, County Councillor for Burbage, Amanda Wright, and her two grand daughters Isabella and Madelaine.
Following the presentation there was a celebratory luncheon for those receiving honours and their guests with The Lord Lieutenant , The Lord Mayor of Leicester and Lady Mayoress, Chairman LCC and many other dignitaries in attendance.
From all of the directors of the Hinckley Town Centre Partnership - BID, we wish Rosemary our congratulations on this well deserved accolade.
