Optical People, which offers both family-friendly eye care and a range of affordable glasses, opened its doors to customers at the end of January.

To celebrate their opening in Hinckley, the store will be offering free eye tests for everyone until March, as well as 25% off for over-60s and a two-for-one deal on single vision lenses.

The store’s glasses start at just £20 and there is also an on-site laboratory, which promises to make up most lenses within 30 minutes.

Ravi Saigal, director at Optical People, said that they had received a warm welcome from the town since opening.

He added: “Our open day was a great success - we have found Hinckley to be very welcoming, We were extremely excited to see how many people showed up and booked eye tests on the day.

"We created a store in Hinckley as we believed that Castle Street would benefit from a fresh, independent optician.
