Just One More - described as a boutique fitness facility, which is designed to be inclusive for all - has taken over the former GAME unit in Hinckley and will open its doors on Saturday, 5th June.
As well as offering a fully-equipped gym, with free weights and machines, Just One More will also offer Yoga, circuit and Pilates classes. There will also be a sports masseuse on-site, as well as wet and dry changing rooms.
Lewis Knight, who decided to open the gym after working as a personal trainer, said he wanted to offer a fitness service with a difference.
He said: “I didn’t want this to be just a gym, I want it to be a community and to help people feel included.
“I know that some people can feel daunted when they first go to a gym, but I don’t want that here.
“Our classes will be like PT sessions for bigger groups - we want people to be coached and not just instructed, and I want to get people feeling more confident. A lot of people go to gyms and they spend five minutes on the bikes, and then leave. But I want people to feel the benefits of resistance training.”
The gym will offer a series of different memberships, including a premium package, a gym-only package at £20 per month and class passes. Businesses on Castle Street, as well as NHS and Cadent staff, and the police, will also all receive discounts.
Lewis said that he feels it’s important to get people into the town. He added: “We want to bring people into the town centre and encourage more people on Castle Street.”
Future plans for Just One More will include possible spin and Kettlebell classes, as well as an astro turf track running through the gym.
Steve Wegerif, from Hinckley BID, said: “We are delighted to welcome Just One More to Castle Street. They have created a wonderful facility at what was previously the Game shop, and we wish them every success.
It adds to the Town centre’s increasing diversity, and we are sure will prove very popular.”
