FREE Floor/Wall Mounted Social Distance Vinyls
AM Signs on Stockwell Head have come up with a very kind offer of 100 FREE floor/wall mounted Social Distance Vinyls for BID members already open or opening on June 1st – they will also fit if necessary.
Manufactured at their premises, these are 300mm wide by 2m long - they are digitally printed laminated vinyl stickers which will adhere to most indoor hard firm surfaces – tiles, laminate etc but not carpet/concrete/slabs etc. For carpeted areas they can also be fitted to walls, counters etc.
To be fair to all, we must limit these to two per business on a first come first served basis so if you would like any please email steve@hinckleybid.co.uk with your name, the business and your mobile phone number so that AM Signs can contact you.
Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service Advice
The general advice that LFRS is giving to businesses for fire safety:
Review of fire risk assessments
Review of evacuation plans and how it will be managed if required
Informing staff of any changes and refreshing any training
Make sure all testing and maintenance of fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinklers etc. is up to date. These systems will need to be tested before businesses open if they have not been during lockdown.
Inspection of fire doors, escape routes operation of exit doors etcetera

Businesses can contact Fire Protection through the Service HQ number or by enquiry form on the website and they will respond accordingly.They are not visiting premises as a matter of course yet.

Finally...
We are keeping our fingers very crossed for those businesses who may be able to reopen on June 1st. We understand that the Government will make the final decision on May 28th which does not give much time…
Since yesterday's Update No. 23 we have received several orders for the anti-bacterial hand sanitising gel in 500ml pump action plastic bottles so we have ordered a top-up stock which we have been able to obtain – we will have to charge for these at the cost price of £10 each + VAT.
