NEW GRANT FOR BUSINESSES

The Chancellor has today announced a new Grant for Businesses – full details can be found at this link, which also contains:

A one-off top-up will be granted to closed businesses as follows:

£4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
£6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
£9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000

This Grant is in ADDITION to the existing monthly closed grants of up to £3,000 per month that businesses continue to be eligible for.

This support is intended to help businesses get through this difficult period through until the Spring.

The Government will take further decisions about their economic response to coronavirus and how best to support the economy, businesses and jobs at the Budget on the 3rd March.
