Dress Me Pretty Bridal Room, based in the town centre’s Hansom Court, was crowned as the best Wedding Dress Shop in Leicestershire at the annual Wedding Emporium Wedding Industry Awards this month.

The awards celebrate businesses within the wedding industry from across the UK and, this year, highlighted how shop owners have coped with the pandemic.

Amy Mann, owner of Dress Me Pretty, said that she was “over the moon” with the award.

She added: “We have a passion for the wedding industry and have always set out to offer our brides a special experience. We have one of the largest selections of designer wedding dresses in the Midlands and our experienced team all share a passion for helping brides to look and feel their best.”

Steve Wegerif, from Hinckley BID, said: “We are thrilled for Amy and the entire team at Dress Me Pretty. This award really shows how brilliantly they’ve coped with the pandemic, and we hope that it also shines a spotlight on just how incredible our independent Hinckley businesses are."

Amy hopes that the award will help to draw even more customers to her shop, adding: “Many brides travel a long way to visit our boutique and we hope this award will encourage even more brides-to-be to come and visit our stunning boutique.”
