The Ten2 Gallery, 102 Castle Street, Hinckley, is proud to be hosting an exhibition of recent work by local artist Ruth Medhurst.
The exhibition is to commemorate the life of Ruth’s elder daughter Rachael, who tragically lost her life to suicide age 40, and also to promote awareness of Papyrus, a charity working with young people to prevent suicide, and the Tomorrow Project. Both of these organisations work to prevent suicide and to support those affected by the loss of a loved one. With suicide being the greatest cause of death in the under 35's, Ruth believes that raising awareness of this heart breaking fact is crucial.
The works fill the whole gallery, with thirty pieces, from charcoal studies, to vibrant landscapes in acrylic, portraits and still life studies.
The exhibition runs until Saturday March 5th, with the gallery open 9am until 5pm Monday – Saturday.
The Gallery is located upstairs at the Ten2 Cafe, 102 Castle Street. Many of the beautiful works will be offered for sale, and proceeds will go to Papyrus and to the Tomorrow Project.
